ok, I went ahead and got the injectors cleaned and rebuilt.
the injector service report shows that in the test before cleaning they flowed
81 ml spray pattern: Bad
84 ml spray pattern: Fair
86 ml spray pattern: Bad
82 ml spray pattern: Bad
after cleaning and rebuilding
90ml spray pattern: Good
90ml spray pattern: Good
90ml spray pattern: Good
90ml spray pattern: Good
so it seems as if i've got a pretty dam good matched set of injectors.
this test was done on a cold motor so results are probably off a little.
now the bad news. I did a leakdown test. I first tried cylinder #1. I could only get about 82% on that one. And i could feel air coming out of the number 2 spark plug hole.
I did the leakdown on number 2. I didn't have #2 at exactly TDC so it got pushed down, when I pulled it back up whiles till under pressure, I got like 40psi compared to the 100psi that was being put in. i let the pressure out and positioned it at tdc on number 2 and hooked the pressure up again, and nothing. i tried turning the crank a few times while still under pressure, I never got more than like 5psi in number 2. so something is gone. possibly headgasket between 1 and 2 seeing as air was coming out of number 2 spark plug hole while number 1 was pressurized.
i didn't even try the other 2, no point really
