ok this might be stupid. i am kinda new to svo's so what will happen if i take out the octane switch on the svo? is there a downside to taking it off? also, how do you get rid of the overboost buzzer? can you even take it off? thanks
I am not sure what the downside would be, I suppose you could hardwire for always high octane fuel. But the big upside would be you could then send the no longer needed switch to Me
Chris
You can remove the switch itself but you will need to hard wire the contact to take advantage of the more agressive fuel and timing maps. You will always need to use premium fuel and you will need to use a manual boost controller or some high priced electronic controller.
The overboost buzzer boost sensor is mounted on the rear side of the right front shock tower. I believe you can adjust it or just disconnect it. Do a search here as this was recently discussed.
