What kind of transmission did the svo's come with? The t5?

Is there a difference between a world class and a reg. t5? I am wanting to buy a new shifter. Will any t5 shifter work?

yes.. the differences are in the synchros, and a few other things.. but there is no difference in the shifters.

The biggest differance is the gearing. 5.0 trans will fit with the special pilot bushing. The better ones are called world class (about 1986 and up) because they made a bunch of improvements and the will hold up to more torque. Turbo ones (4 cyl) are not as common in the world class design because turbos were fading out. Here or on one of the other web boards there is a detailed list of all T-5 trans (types, gearing, cars they came in, etc.). It was also listed in Mustang Monthly about a year ago. Any World Class T-5 will have WC on the side of the case!
