    The plug debate

I cant explain either. i have tried AC delco plat plugs, split fire, standard champions, but they all did the same thing made the care nose over at 12-14psi. as soon as I put the motorcraft 32s in the car came to life up to 24 psi. I put the old plugs back in and it craps out again with no timing or wire changes. many mechanics told me I am full of crap and just need to get a chevy. I would realy like to know the factual reason why our cars only like the motorcraft stuff.

is the e6 mounting any different from the e3? its the only thing i have on my car, except k&n. but, the thing is: the egr tube only touches the firewall on the exhaust side. i have about an inch clearance on the intake side.

nope -- e6, and e3 mounts are in the same spot --

It really sounds like you have one of the tubes for the 87-88 turbocoupes -- they are a little shorter.

in the picture that one guy provided, mine only resembles the one for 84-85. i have a metal sleeve wrapped around, and a fiberglass woven sleeve over that. could it maybe be a replacement from aftermarket?

no -- that sounds exactly right --
but it could still be from a later car, which has the shorter intakes.
