  • Nitro!!

i was thinkin bout puttin' a dry nitrous kit on the svo, i was thinkin about puttin the sprayer on the IC and freezing it up so the intake charge should be a little colder right? i was wondering if this would work and still actually make some good power from a colder IC? would i have to do anything to the motor before installing this kit? like upgrading any systems?

Are you talking about spraying the _outside_ of the IC to get it cold, or spraying the _inside_ of the IC, to cool the incoming charge?

If it is the former, I think you would have to spray a lot of NOS onto the IC to cool it any appreciable ammount. You are probably better off installing a cooling fan beneath the IC, investing in a FMIC, or a water cooled IC.

If it is the latter, that can work well on a turbocharged car. It will indeed cool the incoming air, but with the extra material in the air mixture, you could slow airflow up and make the IC a little less efficient. I suggest NOS downstream of the IC, so you let the IC do its work, and use the NOS to further cool and thicken the air. Just MHO, though.

The cheaper way to do that would be to buy a CO2 kit from DEI or equivelent and spray the IC.

Dont use NO2 to spray the outside, it goes into the motor!

This is what I am talking about:

I think he is talking about the purge valve. When you purge the system it usually goes to the atmosphere. I don't think enough nitous comes out duing purging to make a difference but I could be wrong.

If thats the case, its worth a shot but I dont believe it will be enough to make a difference.

            Outside or Inside......

......is the question.......I think you would get more bang (HP) if wet right in the TB......IC does not get that hot if relocated.......

the necessity of cooling the intercooler is only if you race in a group that only allows 1 power adder. (turbo - 1 power adder).

spend the time installing a correct NOS kit.
