    Valve Seals completed

Okay guys, finally got my svo all back together after replacing my valve stem seals, PCV, plugs, valve cover gskt. Start it up, i got the downpipe still unbolted, and theres STILL lots of blue smoke. UGH! I let it run until it reached operating temperature so that all my fingerpronts and stuff i may have gotten on the exhaust burned off. When i revv the motor, on decel it smokes and when it comes back to idle it gets worse for a few secs then goes away a little bit. Tested compression again with hot motor and got about 150psi on all 4 +/- 2psi. Plugs all look dry and new still. Could not do a leakdown test since my spark plug hole adaptor's threads are not deep enough to reach the threads on the head.

Next, i peeked down the unbolted downpipe and notice some oil around the flared socket flange and some down the downpipe too. Removed the little 45* inlet elbow off the turbo and CAN wiggle the compressor and its shaft but i don't think its scraping yet. I'm guessing its the turbo now as mentioned earlier by others. What else should i try before condeming the turbo?

Seems like the same symptoms of my car. Except mine is not running good at all. Seems like it's missing pretty badly.
I'm going to use some of the tips in this thread myself.
If it ain't broke... Give me some time!

        Definately Turbo

Yep, as suspected its the turbo. I unbolted the turbo/manifold unit and sure enough the inlet to the turbine housing is bone dry but the outlet elbow is all wet with oil and i can wiggle the hell outta the shaft. Time for a T3/T04E!!! Ill post back with results after the rebuild.
