2 chamber flowmasters??

The one on my 1988 Mazda MX-6 was chambered and used sound canceling techniques to muffle the exhaust note. It also had a resonator with sound deadening material such as fibreglass etc. to help the main silencer.

Many stock mufflers use the sound redirection/cancellation technique. Flowmaster uses this technique to make retarded sounds. I'd rather stick a baseball card in my bicycle spokes.

I've had flowmasters do better in back to back testing (NA admittedly), and I always kinda liked the card in the spokes

I think pretty much any relatively stock (stock cammed especially) SVO sounds like crap at idle anyway, regardless of muffler type. It sounds like what it is...a Pinto motor with big pipes.

Back to my original reply... Some folks like them and some folks obviuosly hate them... Opinions are like... everybodies got one and some people act like one... Buy what you like or can afford.

I have a MAC 3" on mine...

I love the way it sounds. I've been asked if I put a V8 into it on numerous occasions. I'll be at the reunion if you want to hear it.
I also have a 3" turbo outlet, downpipe, and no cat.

Mine is almost stock including airbox,except the flowmasters. They came with the car. I don't know about sound diff's , i've never heard a stock exaust . The sound 's ok not loud at all. Go with some flowthrough type.
