actually, I believe the STD is the NWC, and the WC, is listed as --- well -- WC
here is the paragraph that says that
this is interesting as well (after a discussion we had a few months ago about fluid used in T-5's)Two basic T5 transmission classes are covered in this manual: WC (world class) and STD (standard). Separate disassembly (Section 3 and 4) and assembly (Sections 6 and 7) instructions are provided for each of these classes. In other section of the manual, variations within the classes are noted in the instructions and illustrations.
Section title
T5 WC & STD On- Vehicle Service and Troubleshooting
2-4. APPROVED LUBRICANT. Most T5
transmission models use DexronÒ II automatic transmission fluid. Refer the vehicle owner’s manual or service manual for lubricant specifications.
CAUTION
Do not mix different bands or types of transmission lubricant. DO NOT USE GEAR OIL IN THE T5 TRANSMISSION SINCE THIS MAY DAMAGE THE BLOCKING RING MATERIAL.Eric C

I thought that the STD was the NWC because it listed a chart in there about the differences between the STD and the WC and one was brass synchos vs fiber synchros. There was also the needle bearing difference, so I figured it was just different terminology, but wanted to make sure.
