Well I just found this engine ground strap in a box of misc. parts leftover from the engine rebuild. Seems I forgot to attach it to the motor before I put it back in. I know that the small end mounts to the firewall by the clutch cable but does anyone know where it attaches to the block? It's about 6-8" long if you can't tell by the photo.

Other Grounds?
OK, I did use the search feature and found this thread that our esteemed Mike Fleming came to the rescue again on. My question is where are the other chassis grounds. I understand that all EFI cars ground (in part) also through the processor, so if anyone could enlighten me on other critical ground locations, I'd be appreciative.
On the same lines, I also asked my brother about chassis grounds since he's been fiddle farting around with his Grand National and he said. "Hey, I have a bunch of chassis ground straps in our inventory available" I had to check it out and sure enuf, this is what we have in the picture below. One big lug and one small. If anyone needs a new ground strap, let me know. $5 plus the US postal cost. These are genuine Ford and we have the two styles.86' 2R Original Owner "Project Originale"; 86' 2R "Project Bolo" 84' 9W "Project Bondo"; 86 2R "Project Evil" (GONE!); 90' 5.0 LX Vert; 98 Dodge Neon ACR Track Car; 05 SRT-4 ACR! ---"Real tomato ketchup Eddie?"

there is a ground near the neg battery terminal. Mine connects to the neg battery cable as a pigtail, and the grounds to the left inner fender well about 2 inches or so from the battery terminal.
I'll see if I can take a photo of it to post.
If you look in the electrical vacuum trouble shooting manual (EVTM) from Ford, it has all the locations for grounds.
I will look it up when I get home.
Paul, PM me a good email address, and I will try and scan some pages and send as attachments.
