  • Where to buy dowel pins?

    Where do you get the dowel pins to align the head on the block?? AutoZone had them with a head bolt kit, but I don't need the bolts, just the dowels. That's the only thing keeping me from reassembling my motor!!

    I got mine from the dealer last time about 2 years ago.

    Please (everyone correct me if i am wrong) I was told they are the same as the 5.0

      Thanks...I just called my local dealer and they're still available. They are also used on the 3.8L head.

        Auto-zone has them as well -- Felpro makes them

          Really....

          That's where I checked last Thursday and the guy at the counter said they weren't available apart from the head bolts.

          Oh well, I've got some on the way at the dealer.
