  • Rev Limiter?

Is there a way to deactivate the rev limiter in our cars? I was running at about 6500 rpms today and i have a stock computer. Thanks.

The only way to do it is with an after-market computer ( sdtand-alone ) or have a chip-burnt to eliminate it.

The only issue is that unless you have mods done to the car...2.3T's normally dont make any poswer after 6 grand.

The stock rev limit is 6250 rpm, or so says the .bin file I pulled out of my computer and loaded into PCMX.

Don't rely on the stock tachometer, they tend to be inaccurate, especially at higher rpms. I checked mine against my Snap On tach and it was off about 50 rpm at idle.
