Are the 86 Ford emblems on the hood and hatch the same part?

No, the emblems are different. The hatch emblem is common to all Mustangs, but the hood one has a couple of studs on the back of it.

After researching other posts I found 50resto.com has a good selection and prices of emblems. They also list most SVO specific parts.
