Well boys, I filled up the 86 today and the gas seemed to come out the top as fast as I put it in! I think my ring to hold down my fuel gauge sending unit needed replacing. I thought it might, but it was Saturday and the dealer was closed. Autozone and Advance did not have one. Once I drove it down to 3/4 of a tank, it stopped. Felt great for the day it ran tho! I will drain the tank and drop it again to check the leak out. I always do something like this, but it felt good to do the work myself. Some of us can fix computers, some of us can fix cars! I guess SVOEric can do both! I'll let everyone know (for NavySVO's sake) how it all comes out. Later taters......

Well, with the help of my son (came in from Phoenix yestereday) I finally put the new ring AND O-ring gasket (BTW, nice tip SVOErice about the lube) and everything is fine. No leaks, streaks, or squeaks! Boost is great now too. Gotta learn how to drive a sports car again, been drivin' the Jeep! Big difference, as I noticed on the power slides I accidentally did around the corners!
SVOEric, I was going through some old Mustang Monthlys' I haven't read and was that you replying to Jim Smart in the Editors email section? I'm sure it's been talked about here, I've just been on jeep forums fixin' other problems. Sweet reply bro, he even commented on you the next month. I know Fleming, I am late as usual with any news, but hey, I'm still gonna hook you up with dinner at the reunion, so be kind here! Later taters.....And thanks for all the help everyone!Fry the computer Guy
