I have been having reacuring problems with the turbo studs comming loose! I used Cummins studs and crimp locking nuts and the studs backed out again after a track day. I checked them before going to the track! Is it possible somthing other than the studs and nuts are causing the problems? I was wondering if loose motor mounts might put undo torque on the turbo mounts and cause this problem? Or lack of down pipe support? Any ideas?

Mystuds came from the cummins diesel app. I did not ask at the time if they were self locking. I have gone to club suppliers and was told theirs are not locking to use green locktight and they will not come out! Mike gave my the impression locktight would not hold at these temps?Bruce

You might find what you need on page 3018 of McMaster.com.
Self-Locking Studs: Also known as milled, tap-end, and manifold studs. These studs are threaded for a nut at one end and have threads for insertion into a tapped hole at the other end. This fit is self-locking - no locking compound is necessary.Mike S
