    Dude,

    See what happens? You leave and my project turns to Shiite. I've already got the head off and will pressure test it tomorrow morning at Steen's place. That should rule it out, hopefully. I'm utterly confused over this perplexing problem. No one has seemed to have seen anything remotely similar to this before. Just my luck I guess.

        Yeah Kurt. Take that, open yer ears ya jack***. Actually I have an alternate solution that involves c-4 and a big f'n sledgehammer. Should be a bang.LOL

            Mike, the water is filling up the combustion chamber and staying on top of the #1 piston at TDC. It then flows out, either the spark plug hole if open, or out the exhasut port & subsequently through the turbo exhaust elbow. Bad juju indeed. No water elsewhere in the engine where it shouldn't be, so the plot thickens....

                Mike, which hole is that??? Apparently I need to rtv whichever ones pass through the coolant passages. Thank you very much for the pics, they may help me unlock this mystery leak.

                  Chris,

                  That is the front right bolt as you look from the front of the car, but both front head bolt holes are open to the waterpump bolts. Do all three waterpump bolts with thread sealer as the bottom one goes into the water jacket.
