V-belt choices

I have had problems with those damn V-belts on the SVO. The belts are 4month old Napa "premium" belts and have stretched on me over time. I have the alternator adjusted almost to its max and the belts are gettin a bit of slop on them once again. I was gonna take a trip to advance auto tonight and see what they have. Anyone remember off the top of their head what length belt to use? Any ill affect with going with a shorter belt than stock? BTW this is for the crank,w/p, p/s, and alt belts.

15535 is the standard basic part number for the belt.
The first two numbers, "15" stand for 15/32" width.
The rest of the numbers, "535" designate 53 1/2 inches in length.

I use 7535 gates belts on my 86 no problems .
