Well some of you may have seen the ‘88 ranger intake on eBay. Well I received it today and I think it’s a decent replacement for the stock SVO intake. I measure 0.5” difference than the TC intake.
Does that sound right?
My SVO intake is on the car and being it is hard to measure, I thought I’d ask.
If so, being the ranger intake is much cheaper than a SVO intake, it would be a better idea to use the mass produced Ranger over the SVO when slicing and dicing. Soon there will be too many cut up SVO intakes to choose from.
Most use the TC, I’m not sure why though? I like the SVO valve cover over the TC. Some may want the “2.3 LITER EFI” on the back, but who has a 2.3 now a days.
There’s not too much under the hood to distinguish a SVO engine over a TC. My vote is stock valve cover and thus stock intake. I know some people make spacers, maybe that’s a compromise?
Thoughts?
