What are these 3 connectors on the driver side firewall? I'm mostly interested in finding out what that wire that is tapped into is for.

So I would assume that this one would have the temp sensor to run the gauge, oil pressure gauge, and some others?Originally posted by caroth View PostThe grey one on the left has wires that come from the engine sensors and head into the instrument cluster.
I figure if I can find a couple of the wire that are in there I can use the wiring schematic to figure out what that one wire is.Jim

Yes, if I recall correctly, it has the oil pressure sensor, water temp sensor, low oil sensor, cooling fan sensor, tach input and one other I can't think of, but I will need to reference the EVTM to recall everything.
Maybe the spliced wire of cooling fan related or tach input?!?

If it is the Red/GRN stripe wire that is T-tapped it is the hot in run wire used for a 12V source. The two pin connector is for the vacuum pressure switch. And on the 6-pin connector, the BLK/YEL is your AC on input which leads to pin 10 on your EEC. The ORG/BLU is your AC WOT cut off relay wire coming from pin 54 on your EEC. The two GRN/YEL dot goes to the coil and the TFI before ending up at pin 4 on the EEC. The RED/BLU goes to the TFI. The RED/YEL goes to the water temp sensor. Thats all I can remember off the top of my head. Hope that helps. Double check to be sure, but that should put you in the ballpark at the very least. From your picture it doesn't look like a RED/GRN wire that is tapped for the fan and unless you want it on all the time I would not use it for a fan anyway. I'm not sure what color(s) the fan wire is maybe someone else more familiar with that could help.Last edited by Rob.; 07-10-2008, 09:43 PM.
