i hasThe single exhaust style from 84-85 that empties off in a dual tip on the driver’s side. (We all know what I am talking about)

Well this summer one of the two tips rusted off. So now my dual tips is more like 1 1/2.

My entire exhaust was redone before I got it buy the original owner to a single mandual bend (sp) exhaust with no cat but he put the original tip at the end, which I like a lot.

Now finally I will get to my question I have seen some aftermarket dual tip chrome exhaust ends but they are not as long and do not look like the stock ones.

Does anyone know of a company that sells a similar replacement tip, or is someone in the Svo community making these tips available.

    Thanks

    exhaust tip

I ran into the same thing with my car. I just had the muffler shop put a bent down tip on for now. When I checked around, one of Mustang suppliers had the stock dual tips for around 100. I think it was California Mustang.

Walker and NAPA have a part number for the whole tailpipe, It was about a $65-75 part as I remember. I also remember walking away from a new one at the parts counter for $59 because the finished piece was poor quality and the chrome was already chipping. It was so bad that it got me looking into getting a 90 degree mandrel bend out of stainless so that I could make my own replacement.

I had the same problem but I solved it a different way. I bought a NOS exhaust and put it on a few months ago.

I saved the old tip as it was not in bad shape and could possibly have one fabbed in the future. There is a lot to tips as they have some inner piece with small holes in it. I have pictures but they are too big to post. I tried several years ago to have someone make one up but couldn't find anyone in eastern PA.

The so called nice aftermarket ones have dried up. You might try MAC.

I know where you can get a NOS turbo GT exhaust. One piece cat back to the tip.

As Pat pointed out ... Walker still offers the tip. You can do a Catalog Lookup search on their site and find what you need.

Providing performance-grade mufflers and exhaust kits for a wide variety of makes and models, Walker is the name to trust in OE-quality exhaust parts.

            tailpipe

as Bud mentioned, Walker still makes the SVO tailpipe. Its part number is 45856. List price through my supplier is $110.27, my cost is $49.40 plus tax. If anyone gets stuck, I can buy one and ship it to you as long as you cover the shipping.

I put one of these on the 84 SVO I sold last year. Quality was great on the one I had.

Stinger, tell me more about the chrome SVO dual tips you have access to. I could use two or three of them for my project cars! Got any pic you can post?

                  Sure...Here are a few pics:

I was looking through my exhaust books and found what looked like an SVO tip...told them to send me a couple (one for my SVO, one for another guy that wanted one). They were a special order item so it took about 2.5 weeks to get them.

I asked if I could get them in any other size and they said no...I think I might modify mine with the tubing expander to get a 2.5 or 3" inlet on it though.

Scratch CA Mustang from the list of suppliers. They dropped it last time I checked a few months ago.
