Front seat front floor pan cracked and Spoiter cracked.

I have a 1984 Charcoal gray SVO I just acquired. The driver front left mounting stud is ripped out of the floor. I have cut out this section of a junk yard fox body and plan on grafting it in. I've seen strengthing plates for the rear section but not for the front. Anyone know of something to beef up this area? Or does it need to be beefed up at all? I can't seen to find out how it happened. Also, I just noticed the rear lower spoiler has a crack at the front righ mounting screw. What should I use to repair this. Thanks for your help.

A good duramix compound should fix your spoller.As for the floor it should be fine as long if repair is done properly. I have not seen this as a problem in the past. Must have been heavy person driving the car for a long period of time.If you get a chance post a picture of the floor and spoller.

Thanks for the thought. I had found those add on plates on their web site but they specify for the rear mounting area of the seat. Mine is broken on the front mounting area. Do you know of any added support for the front? I also have the subframe connectors that use the rear bolt holes for fastening.

As far as I know, there isn't a commercially available reinforcement for the front, probably because it's a pretty rare occurence for the front mount to be damaged. If you have a complete front mount from the donor car, I would merely reinforce the broken area from underneath with more metal on the donor part, and weld it in.

Another way is to see a local race car chassis shop and have them do the work.
