  • MB Quart 3.5" Speakers

I just recieved my MB Quart 3.5" speakers from Amazon. I got them based on info when I did a search in our forum. They are the made in Germany versions. I immediately went out to the svo and tried them out. I was surprised to see that they did not sit flat and hit part of the inside dash detail. Did anyone have to modify the area below the speaker to get them to fit. I thought from the comments that they fit without any modification. Help!

My mtx's did this, it all depended on how I had them turned side to side. And my holes were not round, so needed to my trimed slightly. Make sure there not sitting on the wires....

Get the nut plates on to the speakers and mount them from underneath if you don't want to cut the dash shell.

I have Blaupunkts on mine, I didn't have to do any modifications.

          MB Quartz 3.5" Speakers

I just installed them about a month ago. They are a tight fit and need to be turned so the leads are pointed away from contacting the instrument panel but did fit flush and did not contact the dash pad either. One of the holes didn't align properly so I had to use a self tapping screw to get it installed but that didn't present too much of a challenge. I purchased the Discus DKE-108. Is that what you purchased?

Yes. I did get the DKE-108 Speakers. I will try them again and see if I can orient them differently to make them work.
