  • How do I know if I have a factory front bumper cover?

It looks original, however, little things, like the hood comes and meets the inner parking lamp, they don't exactly line up, like are not flush with each other, but I am not sure if they are supposed to be. The other thing is the bottom around the fog lights. Looking straight at it, it looks kind of warped, and one of the fogs looks more recessed and the other. I checked all the attaching hardware and it looks intact. I may have to take another look. I will post some pics tomorrow.

How can I tell that this is a factory bumper cover and not an aftermarket, if there are any? Are there any part numbers or stampings visible anywhere without removing the cover?

    thanks

    Phil

There was only one reproduction - no matter who the vendor - it was made by Daniel Carpenter and they used the original Ford tooling.

If you're having some warping/misalignment - you might check to see if there's evidence of a prior accident.

Yes the repros are from the factory mold. The repro in this pic has the Ford oval / part number / date code clock on the inside driver's side near the wheel opening.
