  • Spoiler hardware?

    Do any of you what exactly I need hardware wise to fasten the upper and lower wing to the hatch? I searched some but couldn't find anything.

    It's a stud that has a self-tapping thread on one side and a machine thread on the other. There's a flat pad between the two that separate the two threads and provide protection between the plastic stand offs on the spoiler and the body.

    I'm not sure if there's anything available aftermarket, perhaps you may check with some companies that specialize in restoration parts for Mustangs. You'll probably be better off hitting a junk yard that has some Mustangs and pulling the rear spoiler off to get your studs. They look something like thread adapters shown here:

      How about the finishing screws? The 4 that are visible, my lower spoiler actually has the studs in place. I am going to have to 'make' some new studs for the upper spoiler since the two snapped off long ago. Assuming epoxy resin is the way to go and maybe something as simple as filling it in around a regular bolt.
