Hey I'm sure you guys have seen on ebay the recovered steering wheels, and horn pads......etc. by the guy in montana. I thought I read that someone found this guy and ysed him and he did awesome work. Is this true??? From the pics he seems to be doing great work. I fthis is the guy didn't I hear that he did some work for Ford at one time??? just curious..........
yeah bud that's the guy.......is there a reason that the svoca doesn't set up a recovering program with him??? or is it just the amount that his "people" can get done???? Just curious.

never really thought about it ... he makes a great product, the prices are acceptable, he's a squared away guy .. not much more you can ask for.
the club is not a business. and we don't collect money from people, then approach vendors for mass orders at discount prices, etc. if individuals want to undertake "group buys" - then by all means, go for it - but a word of warning, it can be ball breaking experience. if vendors want to offer our members special pricing/discounts, then we accept them with open arms, but we are picky about who we promote (ie: they better be squared away).
Bob Tweedy (firsthero@sofast.net) is a retired postal worker who owns 2 show car SVO's. I believe that he is an MCA Judge as well. He has a deal with some Canadian who originally did the stitching on the SVO leather. I have a few of his pieces and they are very nice indeed. He needs a core to send in to re-stitch and a wheel costs about $20 with UPS for a round trip.
Bob seems to be doing the service as a favor to the community anyway
I am certainly not arguing that. I also heard that it was some guy in Canada who is the same one that did all this stuff originally. I just find it hard to spend that kind of money sometimes...(read: tightwad!) A club discount would be nice, that's all. It seems like it would fit well in the club's offerings, being as it is such a SVO specific group of parts...It was just a thought.
