While I have two NOS pads in my stash I currently have a modified 93ish pad in my 7B. I can get some good pics but it may take a week or two since I'm away from the computer a lot lately.

I have been w/o a hood insulator for 14 years now and no effects on the repaint inside or out, no worries about that. The hood insulator is also a great dust collector and will generally shake some loose every time you close your hood. Just something else to think about, IMHO.

Thanks to all for your replies. I now feel comfortable not reinstalling hood insulation. It will save me some money and I think it will look better. I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't have any negative impact on my new paint.
