I have the same question on my 86 emblems. Can anyone provide a digital close up of the fender emblem areas for an 84 and an 86. I want to place them in the proper location. My car was repainted several years ago and the emblem was not placed in the proper location. Thanks. I did not mean to hi jack the thread, but I did not see the need for a new one.

it is great that there is a site like this one...so few with this car it is like a family that watches out for each other...

common interests is what it is all about...

i guess it is time to post a few photos of my (I really bought this car for my daughter, yikes!) SVO.

I am going to have to buy her something else so i can drive it...

Try emailing or calling them. Don't think they list anything in their online catalog, but they use to have just about every decal for our cars.

Ask for David Osborn. He ( David ) runs the company now as Mr. ( Jim ) Osborn passed on some years ago. David used to own an 86 back in my old SVOOA Ga Chapter days and we had several monthly SVO meetings at their shop.

What we need is a picture of the location of the decal/emblems so we can reinstall them in the proper location. If some one can take a picture of their 84 decal locations and their 86 emblem locations that would be great. thanks

I took pictures and measured mine (86) before I took them off. I am planning to put them back on tonight. I can post the pictures tonight. I have a spare 84 hatch, I can take a picture of that also.

                    84 decals

I bought a new 84 svo and mine did not have any decals on the fenders. It did have one on the deck lid. It still has the origional paint on it now. I have heard some of the 84's did have fender decals though.

Here's a pic of my 84. It only has one decal and it's on the hatch. I'm not 100% sure that it's in the right spot because it has been painted once, but I only ever remember this one on the car ever.

Here are the pictures, kind of hard to see. This is the 84 sticker. It measures 1/2 inch from the Mustang emblem. The "S" measures 5/8 from the bottom of the hatch and the "V" and "O" measures just under 11/16 from the bottom. As far as I can tell, this hatch was not repainted.

The fender emblem shows to be 1.25 inch from the crease in the fender. Looks like I forgot to measure back from the front.
