DONE!!!!!! (for now)
Hello All,
well it's been a while but I have an update with new photos. Project Interior is done. Or as done as it can be because I can't afford to get the steering wheel recovered, dash reflocked, buy NOS shifter lever, buy bolt kit and i'm still waiting on my new switch plates and need to find time to go to the upholstery shop to nuy welting so I can repair my drivers seat. The eagle eyes will notice the the current drivers eat in an 86.
Well, I have to say I'm quite happy with how it looks considering it was done for basically the price of a few cans of paint, some degreaser and a bit of hard work. It's never gonna win a prize but for a daily driver I think it's quite presentable. Also, yay for red HVAC controls. Sorry the pics a bit blurry but it was dark and I didn't want to use a flash.

Lookin' good, Chris!
Hey, I still have the fiberboard panel that goes over the spare and under the carpet in the back. I can bring it down when we come in April to see some shows, if you want it. It's alittle warped from water damage, but it's still got the original stickers and all on it. I noticed it still sitting in the garage the day after you took the car - doh!
The interior looks great. Who would have thought it was just a little detailing away from looking that good! I'll bet you're having fun driving it. There's some nice mountain roads down there
I haven't lifted a wrench on Johnny in weeks. Too cold, and I'm not in any big hurry. We just cleaned up the garage last weekend, and now I have room to work again. Time to assemble the hoist and pull the engine - I guess I'm putting that off! Laying on a cold concrete floor draining fluids and loosening bolts just doesn't sound like fun right now!Stephanie

I think it has something to do with all that red, Mike.Originally posted by MikeFlemingI'm not quite sure how, but your installation just looks so much neater than mine. Here's some pics from yesterday to share.
That and those funny pipes that criss- cross your cargo area behind the rear seat!

To flatten out that spare tire cover find yourself a pickup truck bed with bedliner. Park on hill and fill with water enough to cover it completely. Carefully place a cinder block or two on top of the cover and leave for a day or so. Turn truck around and let water drain out. Leave cinder block(s) on top until it dries. It comes out nice and flat.

mike your not that far away but shipping would kill me after paying for the seat plus Chris is in my area not more than 16 miles from were i live and weve already had some dealing with each other
but if you want through me a price and ill post it on some of the other forums just give the details and ill post it
like color , condition spilt or bench seat ,email address and or contact # you can pm them to me if you want plus some of the people on the other forums live in your area so it might be easy to get rid of themmoving forward in a backwards rotation
