  • Blue 84 Build Sheet

I started working on the blue 84 5C and when I took out the interior rear panels I found the build sheet taped behind the passenger panel. It has the DSO that is on the door sticker and the buck tag on it also. It has the 5C in the paint code and in the notes. It also has some other stuff in the notes that I have not figured out yet.

Congrats Kendall. The dude that sold you that car probably wants to stick an ice pick in his eye now.

Mark Haas has talked to the origional owners son at a car show. He didnt get his name but he works at one of the local Ford dealerships in the Dearborn area. Hopefully I can get in touch and find out a little more.

Very cool find for that car, I'm glad to see there was some factual proof on the car. If you're talking about the part numbers for the molding assembly and cover plate - how bout calling your local Ford parts counter and having them run the part number? - someone should still have a on micro.

Not really...I would rather stick the pick in my now ex-wifes eye instead for forcing me to sell it!! I knew what I had the whole time I had it and I am very glad I sold it to Kendal! I didnt ask a penny more for it than what I payed for it and the few things I bought for it while I had it.....but Kendal gave me a little extra on the check anyway.....guilt maybe??

Still working on rust repair, I need to see if I can get that microfilm stuff from Fleming to see what the other parts were.

                              Repair

I have replaced the frame rail on the drivers side and have the new box in place. IT has turned into a pretty good job. I have a comp prep at the body shop now and as soon as it is painted I am going to get him to look at doing the rest of the rust repair. I am thinking about having the whole bottom of the car sand or plastic blasted. There is several rusty places that really need to be cleaned up better.
