    Battery Tray Question

    Shouldnt The Battery Tray Be The Same From Any Fox Body Mustang As They Are On The Svo? I Need One And Dont Want To Go Used. I Was Thinking Of Just Ordering One For Say A...1992 Mustang? Anyone Know If They Are Different? Thanks In Advance Gentlemen!

    Use a battery tray from any Fox Mustang from 79-86. The 87-93 trays will fit and work, but are not the correct battery size for an SVO.

      I have a newer battery tray in my car. A 58R-3 battery from WalMart works perfect. A regular 86-93 battery has the poles backwards compared to what the SVO needs. Hence the "R" for reverse, in the part number.

        Ford still carries the correct group 56 batteries for the SVO.
