  • Headliner Vinyl and Seat Fabric - Found

After some research, I have located the exact matching vinyl headliner material and seat fabrics for the Mustang SVO. The company that has these is SMS Auto Fabrics, located in Canby, Oregon. Their website is www.smsautofabrics.com

The vinyl headliner, for the sunroof SVO's is exactly the same grain and color as my original headliner. I ordered 1.5 yards at $55/yard.

The seat fabric is also the exact same fabric and color for both needed. They sell it for $85/yard for either color. I have attached a photograph of the fabric samples they sent me, so you can see what I am talking about.

The way that they operate is this. You go to their website, or call them at 503-263-3535. They will send you a sample of what you are looking for. Once you get the sample and are satisfied of the match, you need to call them and order. They basically pull the file of the sample that they sent you and then order.

    Happy Motoring!

They went up in price. I had them send me samples at the end of '07 and it was $75.00. I forgot to ask them for headliner material....did they have the cloth stuff or just the vinyl?

If I recover, I think am going to go with leather from Jax, as it is cheaper in the end and can't get worn as quick or stained as easily.
You will need to buy 5 yards (unless they do 1/2 yard sales) of both insert and bolster material, which comes out to $850. Then you gots to pay someone to cut it, sew it, and install it.

Show us the final product when you finish! This is what they should look like:

When I called to order the headliner vinyl, the guy claimed that they had the matching cloth for the headliner as well.

I am not actually purchasing the cloth for the seats myself. I just wanted to let any new comers to the SVO know where to get the stuff.

I think that this site needs an area where people can go that shows exactly where you can purchase certain needed items for the SVO. Aside from a forum, where the data gets deleted eventually.

Recommend it in the "Websire Comments and Suggestions" area......that's what it is there for.

I've compared the samples to some NOS stuff and it is almost totally identical. No-one would ever know the difference and I actually think the bolster material is better quality than original.
