    I have a speedometer that reads - 180 klm's per hr and I would like to put this in the 86. would I have to change the speedo gear in the trans.or not ?

    well, being in Canada, we use KLM's the one I want to put in shows klm's in large numbers up to 180 on the main display (outside perimeter) and miles up to 105 in small numbers on the inside of the face. I got this gauge cluster from a friend and he don't know what it came out of. so I just want to be sure that it will read the same at the same speed as the stock one.if it's not going to be accurate I won't use it.

      my wife suggested the Ukrainian method = get my kid to drive ahead of me in his car at 80 klm's, drive behind him maintaining same distance and watch my speedo
