I've had great sucess with bringing my SVO back to factory fresh... a constant sore point however was the rough cast aluminum sections of my wheels. Because the car sat for so long in storage it developed nasty "cancer-like" brake dust corrosion on the rough cast portions. I tried several polishes and brushes without success.
Today, I picked up a bottle of Eagle Etching mag cleaner... WOW! It took ALL the corrosion off immediately and left the openings looking brand new! The clearcoat on my wheels is also gone, so that's the only thing left to do... the etching cleaner stung my hands a bit, as it should because it's an acid. Don't get any on the flat, clearcoated face of the wheel and you should be fine (I used a toothbrush to ensure proper distribution) I'm sure this stuff would also work great on later model turbines (but I don't know about clearcoat!)
