I'm running "B" springs now. Do you guys run the spring isolators in the rear on the LCA and up on the top of the spring? I'll have to take some pics. My 86 still sits pretty high in the rear. I used prothane spring isolators in the springs in the front and rear. The rear still sits higher than I want. I have the end of the spring facing to the front. Not sure what gives. I have debated cutting a half coil off. I want the car to sit just about level. the rear slightly up in the rear.

The end of the spring should be centerlined on the LCA. That will probably drop it 3/4".

I also used the stock isolators on the rear, cause the polly's do sit up higher.

Anyone not running isolators in the rear? Can you hear any difference sound wise?

I don't run isolators on my Pace Car and don't recall much sound difference. But it's been three years since I drove it. I'm sure there was some though.

Keep in mind that you have urethane or rubber between the LCA and the car To isolate from the sound. Urethane LCA bushings will transmit more sound than the springs without isolators. If you are running metal bushings you will hear even more from the springs without isolators but that will be the least of your worries. Can you say *HARSH*.

I have c-springs on my '01 GT, without the spring isolators and I've notice no real noise difference. They are a little stiff for a daily driver, I'm going to order a set of b-springs to replace the c-springs, the put the c-springs in my turbo vert, and put the stock vert springs in my TC. We'll see how that all turns out.

The only difference between the b and c springs is the front springs, the b-springs use a progressive rate spring and the c-springs use a specific rate sprint, both use the same specific rate rear springs. On a v-8 car they both lower the car the same amount, 1.25".

I got a set of C springs from a friend that thought his car rode too stiff, for free when I was in college for my CHP Coupe. In his car with KYB struts/shocks it was indeed miserable.

In my car, with Koni yellows all around the C's actually rode nice and sporty, but definitely not too harsh. (my 3/4 ton pickup has a lower quality ride IMO)

The springs are a package with the shock, and you really shouldn't consider them separately.

If you're underdamped, stiff springs are particularly miserable. Overdamped, stock springs/Koni yellows wasn't ideal, but it was a much better condition.
