      Got 'em on now

I have 245/50/16 Good Years on now, with a stock suspension package on an 84 SVO. They are definately wider and taller and they rub, not bad but I don't like tire rub at all, and I'm not willing to roll my fender or modify a nice car to accomodate. If they hadn't come free on a wrecked SVO, I got and had good tread I wouldn't ever have put 'em on. In fact I think I am going to remove them anyway.

Interesting, I ran that size on my stockers and they would clip the outer edge of the tread blocks on the fender lips under full jounce on both sides with a stock 7.5 and the same with my 8.8.

              245/50/16-anyone?

Stock wheels on stock rear and they rub on a hard bounce.

Mine only hit a couple of times in the few years I had them on the car. One spot was a transition ramp just outside Birmingham with the car loaded for my road trip to the Reunions and the others were RR crossings that were a bit rougher than they appeared.

Here are a couple of grainy pics of my car with them on. The snow shot shows the difference between the 245/50 in the rear to the 225/50 in front. The second shot shows how the side walls get tucked in pretty good on a 7" rim. I always ran them low on pressure to keep even treadwear across the tires.
