  • Bullet wheel center caps

I finally got the machinist at work to program these aluminum inserts for my 05 Bullet wheel center caps.

nice, Would like to see the side of them. I've got a set of those wheels on my car, and have been thinking of different ways to make them.

I wanted more of a radius on the top but it was like pulling teeth to get what I got. They look too much like hockey pucks from the side. Still way better than no caps or stock ones that don't bottom out because of the dust caps.

Nice work Bruce, certainly much better than no caps at all!

Looks good. How about a pic installed on the rim?

I'm wondering if you don't need to go into business, selling a few

One of the centers pulled a spat on me. Dammed thing just fell apart when I popped it out. Have more in the mail. I will get a picture when they are all finished and go on the car.

Ted where can I get the tape you used on you caps? I am having issues with the glues I've tried either dissolving the plastic or not adhering to it.

Bruce, I got it from my 3M sales rep at work. It was a left-over sample roll from a project I had at work. I would try with a local body shop supply house or body shop to see if they have any. 3M's VHB style tapes are used quite a bit in automotive/transportation applications. One other place you could try is a local sign shop. Last place would be to do an internet search on the "4936 VHB" and see if someone sells it online. Good luck.
