  • What is the backspacing and offset of the stock SVO Wheel

Nobody seems to know the answer to this one.

The spec page lists the BS (incorrectly labeled offset) as -5.625"

The Mathis book lists the BS as approx. 5.65"

Numerous other people state the BS as being 5.75" according to their own measurements.

Also I have seen the offset given as anywhere from 40 to 44.5 mm.

So what are the actual measurements?

I did a SEARCH using backspacing and offfset.

We just hashed all this out recently.

    Read here:

I did a search and already read that thread. That's EXACTLY why I am asking, there were so many answers.

So what are the real numbers????????

Thanks for trying to help. I'm still a little confused.

I do believe we used Ford published information, but yes .. it should have read 'backspacing' - and not offset. The offset is somewhere in the 40-42mm range

        Three things frankie ..

        1. If you already found the thread - why did you create a new one? You could have responded to that one. Please learn some net-etiquette.

        2. You're trying to put SVO specific parts on your 82 GT. Excuse us "purist", as you so called us before, and READ this club's mission statement. After that, find another site for help as you're not on the top list of people we normally respond to. We're not here to assist non-SVO owners modify their cars with SVO parts. We're here to preserve the Mustang SVO.

        3. Just as I did with your previous thread - asking for advice on modifying your 82 GT with SVO parts - if I see another, it will be deleted as well and your account booted.

        Thread closed.
