  • MB competition wheels

Hey, just ordered a set of these today, only $121 a piece
    wheel.jpg

Heres the specs: 16x7", 43mm positive offset (should be same as stock) the hub centerbore is 73mm ( I measured the stock hubs w/ a vernier caliper came to be 2.75" or 70mm) I don't have the exact weight but according to wheelweights.net the 15x7 version weighs 13.5lbs and the 17x7 17.0lbs so I'm guessing 15-16lbs

Hopefully they will fit ok w/o any issues. I'll post some pics of em on my car as soon as they come in or after the 8.8 w/4.10 install is complete, whatever comes first

          Discount Tire Direct sells MB's

Im curious as to why you didnt go 17in ? and what is the back-spacing on them ? Not offset, as they are 2 different things.

And just a word of advice here fellas, obviously these do not have center-caps and the hub bore seems like it will fit, however I would HIGHLY suggest asking for the hub-bore dimensions and if it is tapered.

I did order them from discount tire direct.

I didn't get them in 17's because they didn't make them w/ the correct offsets for an svo w/ stock suspension. Offset and backspacing are diffrerent things but they are directly related assuming the rimwidth doesn't change. If anyone is confused as to what backspacing and offset are, just read this:https://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html

Hub bore dimensions are very critical for svo's, make sure the bore is large and deep enough to accomodate the hub. The lack of center cap and non tapered center bore of this wheel are what lead me to choose the MBs...and their killer look!

I picked up a set of those with only 2 weeks on them for 50 a piece. 17x9 they just barely fit, waiting on tires

Since the hub centric bore is 73 mm on the wheel and the hub 70mm be sure to run a hubcentric ring or you will almost centainly have a front end shimmy. A good tire and wheel store will have them...about $5 each. Good looking wheel BTW.

I ordered the wheels w/ the correct lugs, as for the spacers I believe these should work:

No, the guy I talked to didn't mention anything about hubcentric rings/spacer even after I had told him that the svo hub is 70mm, so I figured they came separately, although I probaly should have asked about them anyway.

Hate to say it but you are going to have tire rub if you are still sunning SVO suspension. The backspace is about 6.1 inches.

Not really Mike. My last 3 sets of rims I have bought ( 2 from Tire-Rack and 1 from Discount Tire ) only 1 set ( The Wed's ) came with rings and no lugs.

The Privats and the TSW's did not come with rings or lugs.

Im going to say that "yes" you would have to buy the rings and lugs seperate.

Seeing as how Discount Tire wanted to make me happy they did include them with the Privat's. But im still going to use the stock lugs, I hate the way the little lugs look. I like the stock McGaurds and use a thin-wall socket and alot of patience.
