      $9500. x 2 = $19K

      Most expensive SVO was......how much?

      Kurt,

I think Mike was mocking you.

          Gators

Goodyear still has a listing for the "Gatorbacks".
          Only available in 24545zr17 though.
The Eagle Vr-Zr, I can't tell if they say "Gatorback" on the tire but through Goodyears Tire-Hq they are listed as "Gatorbacks". From what I can see in the picture the sidewall says Eagle ZR45.

Besides - we all know what happened to all the GTs of the SVO era. They're all parts cars now, right?
No, They're C Prepared Solo Race cars. ;-)

We have a couple in our Region right now. Tough to beat, too.

I remember the GoodYear NCTs. They were THE performance tire to have back then. A friend put a set on his 75 Trans Am after the factory Firestones disintegrated (one doing significant damage to the side of the car) on him. They stuck to the pavement like no street tire would. The only thing better was McCreary Road Stars or slicks. But you couldn't run those in the stock classes back then.

Not all are gone yet. Here is my vert. I've taken it to the MCA show in Pensacola once or twice. It is a great car to cruise the beaches or go to cruise nights during the summer. No worries about it getting dented or scratched.

              Thanks Maaco! HAHA

The last photo shows the green color stripe of new tires-this was practice of factory issued supplies from Goodyear. 15" were yellow

I didn't care for those on the SVO. They were loud, and the ride was really harsh. I was living in Pittsburgh at the time, and the roads were/are always in mediocre shape. It seemed like you felt every little bump and crack in the road.

I like the Euro NCT's. I'm looking for tires now ...

I went with BFG KDWs for the 7B. I can't give a ride quality review as I haven't driven it yet... HAHA

I have the original set of Gatorbacks on the Barrett-J car with 10,600 on them and another set in the shed with about 1/4" of tread left.

I also have a set of brand new GSCs with stickers. I was told they were the style that replaced the Gatorback molds at Goodyear.
