Use the same one...its across the street from Hooters, the (un)offical resturant of the SVOCA.

Oooohh. I forgot about the fact that it's walking distance from the (un)offical SVOCA restaurant.

I vote for staying at the same ol - same ol. Just too darn convenient to the Interstate, the show site, the autox site, and as mentioned before, Hooters. Notice I didn't say the drag strip. Nothing is close to that place except the bar that plays BOTH kinds of music, country and western.

I like the fact that it's close to the interstate, Hooters, Waffle House and such. Plus it's close to the Show/Shine & Auto-X.

But I do agree that the service wasn't as good as the previous year. The parking lot is decent though and we seem to have plenty of room for the cars and thos with trucks/trailers.

I'm good either way, I'd drive just about anywhere for this event.

I liked the pool! The price was not bad. I don't know how much trouble it was for you Eric and what you have to do.
Most hotels suck anyway for what they do for you.
Time to clean up the engine bay!

            Walking distance was a feature

Because I wasn't gonna drive after dark.

Do you really think that you could find another hotel that would put up with the chariot races and transmission rebuilds in the conference rooms?

I mean look at it like this, how much time do u spend at the hotel anyway? I know I didnt spend hardly any time in my room other than to sleep (4hours a night) and to wash my GSA. The rest of the time was spent Friday all day @ the dyno & dragstrip.....all day Sat @ the show/shine and all day Sunday at the autox (& at Hooters the rest of the time...hehe...yeah c'mon!). Besides like svobrown mentioned, your not gonna get Five Star service at a Best Western anyway. So just keep it simple and have it at the same place and if someone gets there feelings hurt over the service then they prolly would'nt be satisfied staying anywhere other than one with a president's suite anyway.

Perhaps we can convince Hooters to add a couple floors upstairs, and turn itself into a Hotel. Then we wouldn't have to walk across that "dangerous" highway when we're half-lit.

Same place is fine whit me. (Unless you all want to come to Detroit and stay at my house.) Plus...I got plans for the hill over by the car wash next year. Can anyone say "Road Rash".

Convenience is king - stay with the same hotel.

Hopefully the dates are similar to last year - I've already got the weekend of the Oct 9th tied up with a buddy's wedding (and I can't convince his bride to be to move the event from PA to KY).
