Got the e-mail too. I'm still trying to convince my wife that it's really not that hard to handle 3 kids 3 years and under by yourself for 5 days...
My wife says it's a sickness...what do you think?

Really wish I could go but........

      1) wedding anniversary is Oct 6
      2) 2375 miles, Yahoo estimates 34 hrs one way
      3) car still needs reliability repairs/maintenance (hoses, ignition, etc) before I would ever take it that far
      4) U-haul (and others) will not rent a trailer for towing with an Explorer (blacklisted)
      5) need to save "fun" money for a paint job - still 2 colors

Can someone tell Laredo the story of Garrett Polehonka - who drove from Yelm, Wa to Murfreesboro, Tn for the Reunion 1999 in 36 hrs on his wedding anniv. The return trip took a wee bit longer (41 hrs) cause he had to replace a water pump and alternator.

WOW! And I thought I had it bad because I had to replace an alternator in Colorado on the way home from Kentucky to Los Angeles!

            No guts, no glory!

Yeah! That's what I say. Sounds like an urban legend.

Look under the 99 Reunion show results. His name is under "longest distance driven." and he had a co-pilot to share the driving duties.

I know you all don't hear from me too much, but I'm trying to get mine done before then. I've been running into issue after issue with this one.
