Looks like Ron (The Viking) just chunked his too! Why do these fail like this?

I have no idea, but it seems hit or miss. I've seen some 2.3's with 200,000 miles on them without a rebuild or anything like this happening. I've seen others that seem to have a time bomb in them and parts like this fail at 90,000 miles. I know I'm going to pick up spare aux. shafts at the junkyard whenever I have a chance from now on. For myself, or friends in need. LOL
If it ain't broke... Give me some time!

Couldn't find the baggie my bolts came in. Cleaned garage too good. I think they're M10-1.5 x 15mm long? Might be 20mm longr. Got mine at Lowes though.
