The information on the FAQ is very good. If you plan on doing any competitive automotive events in your SVO, like SCCA or NASA Solo Autocross, or class drag racing, or even showing the car, some of the modifications listed in the FAQ may disqualify your car from competition, or bump you into a class that your car is not competitive in.
If you are going to compete in sanctioned events, just make sure you get the rulebook of the sanctioning body and read it BEFORE making any of these mods. Knowing what the rules say, can keep you from making that mistake, and help you map out what mods you will do when. Now, get out there and make that car handle better!! :-)
The suspension FAQ states that the SVO wheels are 16X8, this is not the case, the factory manual (and my tape measure) says that the factory SVO wheel is 16"X7" with 1.75" of offset. A change to an 8" wide wheel will help out the under-tired SVO, especially if you can get enough negative camber (-2.0 ish) to keep the whole tire on the ground.

A good summary. I'd recommend the Mustang performance handbook by Mathis for a little more detailed explaination of the topic. I was a little disappointed that there was no mention of 3-link or watts link rear ends.
I heard the editors of Mathis' book did a hatchet job and removed entire sections and diagrams despite his objections. He probably originally covered what you mentioned.
The link to the SVOCA suspension facts in the first post here is now giving a 404 error.
Is there a way to access this information? I am wanting to see whats available for stock / upgrade bushing replacement. I am curious to see what suspension mods are different that the GT's / LX too.

Not sure if we lost that page or not, dropped Eric (webmaster) a note to see what's up.
Best bet in the short term is to browse through the Brakes/Suspension and Project Zone sub-forums for what folks have done. Out back things are pretty much Fox generic, but the SVO's used the earlier 'round-bushing' style lower control arm. Up front, things get a bit more complicated with the 82 Continental forged a-arms. All in all some basic mods can go a long way to improving things over stock.
May I suggest an edit about the poly bushings mentioned for the rear suspension? Putting them in the lower arms is fine, but you certainly don't want to put them in all 4 arms because of the binding that will be created with the arms being swung in different arcs and the rubber bushings not allowing that to happen.
