i have asked this before. i do have an 86 comp prep car. i do know that ford made 83 of them.
i understand that approx 6 years ago there were (supposedly) 42 left.
does any one have an educated guess of the number left now days?
thanks
bob

The source for some information is the competing SVOOA list of registered SVO Mustangs. It lists about 62 or 63 total remaining comp prep cars in its book from about 3 years ago.
Other than an occasional newsletter 1 or 2 times a year and snotty mail from that canadian guy who runs it, that slub does not do much.
i find david la rocque to be a very knowledgeable indiidual and easy to talk to and deal with. also his publications are first class with interesting informatiom.
how do i know? i have submitted articles for it!
could be your attitude!

Well I have been busy and happened to come across this post once again,,sorry for my tardiness in responding.
1. Your articles are not that interesting.
2. You are the only person I ever met or heard from who felt David La Rocque was helpful or easy to deal with, my first three meetings with the guys from western canada they did not seem to care for the guy.
3. Old Dave started out with a bi-monthly newsletter, then it went quarterly, then three times a year and last year I got exactly TWO.
They were 4 pages of black and white print each. The front is 1/3 banner and the last page being the same ads and contact info as the last 12 newsletters. So they had maybe 2 and 1/2 pages of "first class and informative information".
That is not much for 30 dollars a year, even in canadian money.
4. You are retired now,,,,,,no more brown nosing is required.
Well... it's been 7 months and you've logged a WHOPPING 2 POSTS! I'm not a member of the BOD but I can only say personally "GO AWAY YOUR OPINION DOESN'T MATTER" Ahem, Thank you, Thank you very much!
Just for the record I'm not a big fan of DL either but that's him, not me. I was just sticking up for one of our members who has done a great deal for the SVOCA and I do appreciate it. Edit : After thinking about it what I should have said is I don't agree with DL's ideas of club management. This being I was once the VP of the Georgia Chapter of SVOOA. I have had a fair amount of experience with him at SVO events back in the old days. As a person I never had any problems with him in normal social events. My main problem was with regional groups being a cash cow for the "executive branch".
