  • New motor is running

Well got it back together still have the timing to check, drive it,tune it etc...
Been pretty busy getting it back together, fixing things, installing new things.I just hope this time around everything is ok.I have had alot of problems with this since I started building it back in 05.After seeing the motor that was in the car when it was removed then inspected I was loosing alot of compression = power loss and that motor made good power already. My main concern is that everything works this time clutch don't slip,my tranny don't break, engine keeps its fluids inside and not all over.

Yes it is a oil seperator, the 2 hoses go to a vacuum pump. The vacuum pump has a in and an out, the out goes to a catch can.The can by VC is a air/oil seperator that goes to the in on the pump.It really helped make a difference on the other motor that was blowing fluids everywhere. The pump motor is operated by a MAP switch around 3psi I think,I put it all back on just incase hope it don't need it.

The old adage if it don't go chrome it is out the door. I don't see any chrome and that looks SWEET, and I BET ITS GOING TO GO!

Well put 10 miles on it everything seems to be ok so far still taking it real easy new clutch also.Trying to drive it and make sure it does not build boost sucks.

Not sure if anyone can help been having a couple problems. Was having an ignition miss as it got hot from driving for a few so I put in a new pickup,TFI,and coil.I started the car up yesterday to go drive it some more to see if it was fixed.I heard something like a slight whistle so I got out of the car to see if I could tell where it was coming from. When I was doing that I heard like a snap (electrical) the car died when it did that the car's wiring started smoking by the brake booster, disconnected the battery real quick to keep it from maybe getting worse burning up without having to use a extinguisher.I can tell the car has no spark fuel pump runs lights come on and all that but no start not sure what to look for or where. Before all that my tach adapter was acting funny and then it started smoking so I just removed it figured it was just bad but maybe someting else caused it to burn up.Not real good with car wiring high voltage I can work on all day just not real familiar with low voltage can work on it to a point install stuff but not track it down as to wear the problem is anyway's.I hope someone can help, thanks Jim.

Does anyone have some info on wiring what wires at ECM relay should have power with key on and cranking only the yellow does.I found out somewhat to why car does not start the SDS does not power up.The SDS is a plug in play from WMS it uses the car's stock wiring just add a air temp sensor, map sensor and modify the rotor position. Also what wires at ECM 60 pin plug should have power key on and cranking.Need to find out if the SDS needs sent in for repair.

spoke to sr-71; no power on the ECU relay feed (red-grn) at chassis harness. fuse is good, ign switch replaced. not sure if there is a fusible link in the chassis harness between key and harness-harness connector. ohm'd out to fuse box as good, and fuse box is hot. need to reference EVTM.
