    Got everything cleared up!

Mike are you going to do the trim and around the windows? The car looks really good

and keeping the 87+ GT wing on the rear will help me recognize the car as the road warrior, since it is all pretty now

Yes, I think I'm going to try my hand with some plasti-dip. You will still be able to recognize it by the gray DS door jam. I just had the outside painted.

DOH! Well I had some really old stuff in there anyway. Only kept the really important stuff that relates to my upcoming purchase of the second Watkins Glen Pace Car.

Looks awesome! Still think you should add some red whiskers, just for old time sake... :-)

Interesting look all white. I think like it. Especially with the fresh lenses. I'm with Ken, though, pull them before you hit the track. Even the repros are rare as hen's teeth.

Gene's comment about the car being all white sparked a brain cell or two...the Road Warrior is now kind of a 'ghost' of its former self, from a visual standpoint anyway...

I have to say that I miss the blue hatch.

The PS is the original that I just polished. The DS is a used one I got off ebay years ago and polished. I'm thinking about using the 3m paint defender system or similar. I may just tape them up.

I tried some plasti dip on a few things a couple weeks ago. Works good and coats quite nice

More upgrades for the Road Warrior

With a fancy new paint job, I decided to finally do some other upgrades that have been in the queue.

First up was installing the new Stinger PIMP ECM. After a couple of wiring changes, installing an IAT and the MAP sensor hose. Following the installation setup closely, the car started right up the first time. The cold start required feathering the throttle a little to keep it running until it warmed up a bit. The next step was to perform the idle auto tune. This worked well and the idle smoothed right out. I have had to low boost runs with auto tune on and it is working great so far. Now it's time to raise the boost. I'll keep you posted.

The second upgrade is a new SVE big brake kit from Late model resto along with some new Tokico adjustable shock. Just got everything installed today, need to bleed the brakes and double check that everything is torqued to specs. Overall, it was an easy upgrade using the reconditioned LCAs the Rob made for me with the X2 ball joint. I'll post pictures later.

Not yet. It is on my "To Do" list.

Those side skirts are nice. Might be an alternate solution to trying to find decent rocker panels and spats. I like the look, so far.
