Got a little care package from Late Model Restoration in the mail!

The passenger side mirror is busted, so a replacement was much needed! I guess I'll order a new drivers side too unless I decide to paint the new one and the old one to match, gotta get it home and see what I want to do. I don't remember how faded the drivers side is but I'm pretty sure its not as shiny and nice as this one!

Been back and fourth on what to do with the shifter, I thought about the classic look of a Hurst, I really like the UPR Rock Crusher handle, but in the end I decided on something "stockish" so I went with an 03-04 Cobra knob in the 5-speed variety. I'll sure be glad to get that horrible red ricer ball off of there!

Got another package coming from Fox Mustang Restoration, hopefully it will be here today!

Okay, got the shifter knob put on, much better than the crap that was on there!

At a bit of a crossroads with the mirror. I didn't realize these are different than the factory mirror? Both in finish and in style. Had I known this before, I would have probably searched for a used mirror, but after seeing how clean the new one looks, I guess I'll be forking out another 80 bucks for the drivers side!

So is that a vinyl overlay, or is the dash panel a piece of CF? What little bit I saw in your shifter picture, I kind of like.

Its a overlay of some sort. It was on the car when I got it. One corner is actually coming off, I really hope to glue it back down somehow and save it. I'm usually not a fan of carbon, but it looks really cool and matches the interior good. I'll get a better pic of it next time im at the car. Its got white faced gauges too, I'm hit or miss on them, but they will do for now. Eventually after this "stage 1" of the build is done, I want to either do autometer gauges in a florida 5.0 cluser or try one of Dakota Digital's new clusters.

Here is a few better photos of the dash, like I said, you can see the corner where it's pulled loose.

Pulled the car out and drove it to dinner tonight, a big portion of getting it ready for Mustang Week is putting some miles on it. So far, I'm impressed with everything. It still drives a little quirky but new tires on the front should help that a bunch.

I gotta say, I LOVE the feel of the 03/04 style Cobra shifter knob on it, makes a huge difference in feel.

Gonna try and start blowing the interior apart next week!

It was an awesome day. I had mine out too. The turbo loves that cold dense air.

Okay, so probably no where close to where I should be with this car, but the plan is still to take it to Mustang Week. I may not get everything done to I wanted, but i'll get most of it done.

I got my driver side mirror in, but haven't got a chance to put them on yet. Also got my carpet set in.

Got those Corbeau seats but I've got to get them cleaned. I knew they were a little dirty in the other car but they look even worse out.

These seats water stain really easy, some of these are from having a soda bottle sweat in the seat. Their website said just to use soap and warm water, well look how that worked out on the back.

My buddy has a interior shampoo machine, I guess I'm gonna try to do the whole seats with that, then suck them dry with a shop vac. Fingers crossed it works! Once I get them clean I'll pull the old ones, install the new carpet and the seats, then pull the back ones out to have them recovered(still gotta buy the material). Hopefully gonna log a lot of miles on the car next week to make sure everything is mechanically sound, then send it for the paint work. Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock!

I think you will need to modify the dew wipe side molding to work with the later styled mirrors. The later ones are shorter than the ones on the SVO.

Yeah looks like you are right. I don't mind the mod, if its pretty simple. Gonna drive it to work and mess with it one day this week. The guy that works for me went to school for paint and body and does it on the side so it will be nice to have a helping professional hand. I'm kinda just wishing I had bought a used ebay mirror and been done with it now though....

All right, borrowed my buddy's shampoo machine, works pretty dang good, I may have to get me one.

Tried to wet the entire seat down evenly. I sprayed a little purple power on the worst spots.

Vacuumed them dry, now I've got them out in the sun drying.

Both seats, by the time we got the second seat done, the first one had dried a bunch. Looks like its gonna work!

Just got my two front tires on order. Went with a BFG G-Force Sport Comp 2. Its got 235's on it now but they are a little small on the wheel so I went back with a 245.
