I tuned out of the over boost buzzer vary quickly. (In my mind) The sound of boost is far preferable. Helps my hearing stinks from 40+ years in a factory!

A little progress and approaching the finish line...so to speak
I went thru and re-sealed a CW stamped rack and pinion that I got from Ryan P from Allentown. Happily the rack works perfect and the SVO specific rack makes such a difference on these cars. I installed brand new inner and outer tierods.
I also just installed some brand new red Koni in the rear shocks and quad shocks. I have new red Koni struts but I am waiting for the lower control arms to come back from the machine shop (rare parts). My original quad shocks were actually good still as well as my passenger side shock. Still had the gas charge and in good shape but replaced anyway.
I had the driveshaft balanced and new U-joints installed. The rear U-joint was wiped out but I replaced both anyway
I have the T5 partially apart. I am replacing the tailhousing bushing and the input shaft collar (bearing retainer). The collar was all beat up and was causing noise from the throw out bearing. I have had some noise in the drivetrain and some vibration at +65mph. I think between these 3 things I noticed were bad I hope the problem will be solved.
I installed new motor mounts, tranmission mounts, cross member bushings.
The car is so incredibly tight now and I cant wait to get the lower control arms back and installed. I think the car is gonna be as good as new.

Yep, they are easiest to adjust off the car for sure. That is exactly where I set mine too!Originally posted by scenario View Post
Well, since these can ONLY be adjusted when shock is fully compressed I chose to set at full firmness minus 1/2 a turn.Ted
