Ok (the old racers want to guess)Originally posted by Pat_in_L.A. View PostYou didn't mention what type of diff in that 9". I'll guess spider gears, bad spring in a detroit locker, or a snapped axle.
It is a detroit locker with daytona pinion and billet axles. (that might give the failure away)
But it keeps the car on the lift for a few days and I am getting the CF brake duck hats and mufflers on (for tracks DB levels here)

Nothing to report from Thunderhill, a dismal hot day with just about no car count. Sunday afternoon they combined the 3 & 4 group for a 40 minute session, I think they started with about 20 cars and ended with 8. On a three mile course. I should have hauled the car up there and pulled it around behind the dually. Nobody would have known. The AI/X guys that were supposed to be there were a misprint on the registration.
Any day at the race track is better than a day working, but this one was just barely.

With the 2.3 EFI T/C it was broken T5's (always third gear) now with the Richmond and V8 it is A Ford ring gear!Originally posted by Pat_in_L.A. View PostThat's impressive!
Installed a Richmond 4:11 on the locker car is fine. Tried to go from a 3 1/2" driveshaft to a 4" since I had the car on the lift but I would have had to change to 1330 U joints-no time!
I do think I can have the car out before the snow hits this year again. Would like to have at the reunion but Bud said it had to have the 2.3-I think the guy that wants to buy the car and trailer wants to part it out -so I may put the 2.3 in (and keep the stroker)
