already did, all my neighbors know me.. had to call Fedex and now they are going look for it.

while working on the SVO yesterday a Fedex truck drove right past me, turned around and left...

so I searched here and found some other posts about replacing the cartridges in the koni struts... I have the directions here and they are very vague, but it does confirm someone saying you have to add some oil. the directions say to add 30cc's of oil...but does it matter what kind of oil???

            just normal 30w or something??

You could add anti freeze too. Some manufacturers actually suggest that as well. The viscosity is less important than the heat transfer characteristics. If you have a leak in the future in the strut area and there's oil, you may think that you've blown out the shock. If it's anti freeze, you know the shock insert is OK.

cartridges installed.. took me 3 hours to get the struts off. 23 years of rust and 23 year old lock-tite on the bolts.. my kidneys are coming back together as well. My impact gun wouldn't even loosen them..crazy. anyways, they are installed and it feels much better on the road now.

                  A little late but...

Here are some pics of the KYB struts I had on my daily driver (until I put my race cars Koni's on it). I know it wont help you as you already put some in, however maybe somone else may need it in the future.

The KYB part number is 235001

When I took them out, there were a bunch of washers ground down to various angles to make them fit correctly.

Hoping to get on the track soon

thanks for the pics and part number. yep, all done, but good to know something else will fit if it has to. Jim at Motion told me the other day that Bilstiens will work too.

After driving the car today with the new shock cartridges I kept hearing rattling every time I hit a small bump.

I got underneath and found the sway bar bushings shot, metal to metal, and the end link bushins are about the same...next project.
