  • the best springs for me?

ok I want different springs for my 84 svo. I am keeping the 85 stock but want to change it up a bit for the other one. my dilema is I do not know what spring to go with or where to buy it from.

Here IN WA our roads are BAD. the highways and freeways are not smooth at all. I installed some eihoch springs in another 84 I had last year and it road so hard some times I thought I was breaking things on the car just driving it around.

there are a couple 89 saleens in the family that I have driven that seem pretty stiff for our roads to.

I want a firmer ride and lower the car about an inch or so (keep room for 17" or maybe 18 gt40 rims. but I want to keep my teeth in place and spaces between my spinal bones.

I have read that the motorsport "c" are a bit rough for a daily so I am very much leaning towards the "B" spring. does this sound like it will fit my need? if so where is the best place/deal to buy a "B" spring from? I looked at forced4 site but only saw "C" there.

Then I have been hearing alot about H&R springs. should I consider them? what do they run? how do they run? feel? where is the best place for them.

between all of us here I am sure every spring has been tried so I would really like some advice so I get it right the first time.

    Thanks
    Troy

I have almost every combo that you mentioned on different cars. My favorites are the H&R Sports. Rising rate design makes them feel softer than the stock springs during daily driving, but the rate firms up when driving more enthusiastically. I think that one of our SVOCA supporting vendors sells them too, so you may get a wee bit of a discount!

Motion Dynamics carries the H&R's. I'm just about to order a set myself.

i considered the H&R's , but went with the B springs , . i dont know why i did , maybe it was cause of the box that says "ford racing" on it .

now i have racing parts produced for/by ford on my car

i think i will go H&R on the cobra

the free shipping was a plus also . i think i paid 233.00 for them . i cant find the receipt for it so i cant remeber who i got them through . ill search the forum and get back to you with who i got them through

ive driven my car once since i installed the spring and 3" exhaust . what a difference both made in performace of handling and turbo spool

We can get any ford racing part. I only list what I have tested personally. If you order parts that are not up on the site just email me and we will get you set up, I just cant gaurentee performance since all the info on it would be second hand.

Thanks Tops....but if Eric can get them for me....thats the way I'd go. To prove a point why, instead of making be buy a full set of intercooler hoses, he sold me just the one I needed, the lower one.

                      Thanks Eric.

I bought the CJ Pony Sportline replicas. They are exactly like Eibachs but much cheaper. They work well for me and my stock Konis.

I bought the H&R Sports. They are listed under the 87-93 applications but they are a universal fit.
